Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The Chakhesang Catholic Association (CCA) with Chakhesang Catholic Youth Association (CCYA) organized a one-day seminar at Holy Family Parish, Pfütsero on October 2 with Rocus Chasie, First President, Catholic Association of Nagaland (CAN) and Joint Director (Rtd) H&FW as the resource person.
Dr Rosou Pohena, President, Chakhesang Catholic Youth Association in a press release said that the five parishes of the CCA namely, Pfütsero, Chizami, Lozaphuhu, Razeba and Thenyizumi along with the Chakhesang Catholic Community Kohima (CCCK) and Chakhesang Catholic Women Association (CCWA) participated in the seminar.
Er Mhaseto Lancelot Nakro, Principal, Government Polytechnic, Atoizu and General Secretary CAN exhorted the gathering. The first session on ‘Catholic Faith and marriage’ started with Chasie giving more importance to the communion of the union of man and women. The issues of marriage preparation, divorce, mixed marriage, impediments of marriage etc were discussed. In the second session, the speaker dwelt on 'Lay Apostolate.' He emphasized on power of the Rosary and its importance with special reference in a students' life, Sacraments of the Catholic Church and truths of the Catholic Church.
The seminar was followed by panel discussion and adoption of resolution.
