Chakhesang Mission Society Week in progress

Dimapur, April 9 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mission Society week has just begun since Monday April 4th, and it will culminate on Sunday, April 10, where all the 95 CBCC churches will dedicate themselves to the ministry of reaching the unreached. The year 2011 has been declared as CBCC year of Mission Awakening   
A press note issued by Kedoungulo Mero, Director, Chakhesang Mission Society, CBCC informed that resource persons mostly drawn from the laity are deputed to all the local churches to promote missionary activities in and outside of the state. During this week, all the 95 churches under Chakhesang Baptist Church Council engage themselves in prayer and mobilization works for missions. This mission week observation has been in practice for the last 30 years since the inception of its society. One of the main highlights of this mission week is collection of mission offerings in the form of chicken from each household.  
The note also mentioned that as a part of Mission Awakening Year, all the CBCC churches will continue to engage in Year Long Chain of Prayer during this 2011. This mission week marks the enthusiastic participation and involvement of laity in missionary activities. This is to inform all concerned to continue praying for the field missionaries working in different parts of India and beyond.  All the resource persons assigned to various local churches will arrive at the assigned churches for worship beginning from Saturday. All believers are requested to keep praying for the success of the Mission Week.
