Kohima, October 8 (MExN): The Chakhesang People’s Meet 2023 organised by Chakhesang Students’ Union Delhi under the theme ‘Connect towards a better tomorrow’ was held at NDMC Convention Centre, Delhi on October 7.

According to a press release, Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs KG Kenye graced the occasion as the special guest and Advisor for CAWD, Küdecho Khamo as the guest of honour.

Advisor Küdecho Khamo stressed on the importance of striving for success through diligent effort rather than merely dreaming about it. While adding that one's future position hinges on their present actions, he pointed that most successful people are not gifted but they work hard to achieve their goals. Khamo urged attendees to aspire boldly, encouraging them not only to pursue personal goals, fame, or financial prosperity but to channel their ambitions towards glorifying the divine.

He also advocated for a connection with God through prayer and the continuous reading of the Bible adding that “prayer paves the way for success.” He added, “Most challenges facing us today are basically not political, social or economic issues, but the bottom line of the problems is the spiritual bankruptcy.”

“No matter how crowded or competitive the world maybe, there is always a room for God's fearing and hard working people,” said Khamo. He also asked the participants to safeguard the faith and be the ambassador of Jesus Christ wherever they go.

Earlier, presidential address was delivered by Sheniehu Theluo, President CSUD, greeting by Avezo Kapuh, President Chakhesang Students Union and exhortation by Vezuhu Keyho, President, Chakhesang Public Organisation.
