Phek, October 23 (MExN): The Chakhesang Regional Council, NNC observed the 67th Martyrs Day at Phek on October 18. In the function, the NNC workers of Chakhesang Region paid homage to all the “Naga Martyrs whose mortal remains are scattered within and outside of Nagaland in foreign lands and waiting to be brought home when we become free.”
The Chakhesang Regional Council, NNC appreciate and strongly support the statement of Gen (Retd) TM Keyho, President, NNC on the 21st July 2018. He had clearly clarified the stand of the NNC that it upholds the August 14, 1947 declaration of Independence and the May 16, 1951 Plebiscite and continues to work for the complete freedom of our people.
CRC, NNC President Nüveta Nakro in a press release said that the Chakhesang Regional Council, NNC is committed to “support and work under his leadership for the sovereignty of Nagaland and the freedom of our people as the Almighty God made us to be to live in a chosen undisputed land.”
“The Chakhesang Regional Council, NNC will never be a party to any solution talks except sovereignty and freedom,” it stated further.
