Chümoukedima, June 3 (MExN): To commemorate the celebration of 150th Year of formation of Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) tentatively scheduled for November 9, 2024, a series of events have been planned throughout the year including observance of World Environment Day on June 5.
In this connection, the CPO, in collaboration with the department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of Nagaland will be organising a plantation drive in all Angami villages under Chakhroma area on June 5 starting from 7:00 am onwards. Chakhroma Students' Union and Chakhroma Youth Organisation are directed to arrange volunteers in all the Angami villages to make this drive a success. “They are also to ensure nurturing of these plants for the next two years. Saplings can be collected from CPO Hall, Chümoukedima on June 4 from 8:00 am on ward,” stated a press release issued by Information & Publicity Committee, CPO.
