A two day long 40th General Conference of the Chakhroma Students' Union (CSU) concluded today at Tsiepama under the theme “Transforming challenges into opportunities.”

Gracing the Valedictory session as the special guest, Zhaleo Rio, Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland, congratulated the CSU executives for successfully conducting its 40th General Conference.

He pointed out the importance of mother tongue as it defines ones identity, also added that even the UGC has approved Tenyidie as a subject.

Rio also stressed on the need to have broad mindset to live in harmony with each other, for the betterment of Naga Society.

He also encouraged the students to set a clear goal and strive for excellence.

Ikato Khulu, president Western Sumi Students' Union (WSSU) shared greetings.

He stressed on a stronger bond between CSU & WSSU and pledged to work together hand in hand for a better future.

Earlier, during the devotional service, Zhau Sanchu, Associate Pastor, Christian Revival Church Sovima and principal Hope Institute of Theology, stressed on the importance of being a firm believer and to choose the path of God.

Meanwhile, CSU new team for the tenure 2025-2027 have been announced during the conference.

The new team will be led by Menokhrielie Chalieu as president, Rokoselie Geisuo as General Secretary, Zhasakholie Lehie as  Tribunal General and  Kezhawhelie Richa & Zapuvizo Khroitsu as members.
The conference, which commenced on March 15, was hosted by Tsiepama Students’ Union.
