The Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen (CBLT) celebrated its 75th anniversary at Tuensang Town Baptist Lashong on November 25-26.

The jubilee, celebrated under the theme “Standing on the Threshold by Faith,” featured speakers, including Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC); Rev Dr Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary of Ao Baptist Arogo Mungdang (ABAM); and Rev Achu Chang, Executive Secretary of CBLT.  

A monolith dedication ceremony was held at the CBLT office on November 25. A Jonathan, Mission Coordinator for Nagaland Missions Movement (NMM), led the ceremony, with Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho dedicating the monolith.  

The two-day celebrations included services led by Weshen Theological College, Tuensang, and Saksi Baptist Lashong, Tuensang. Notable figures such as Tialemba, Executive Secretary of PBCA; Rev Y Imtiba, Executive Secretary of USBLA; NY Choba, President of Chang Khulei Setshang; Rev Himpao, Executive Secretary of KBCA; and Rev Shiuto, Executive Secretary of Tikhir Baptist Churches Association, delivered short speeches.  

Adding to the significance of the occasion, former Pastor Rev Teka and his family also joined the celebrations. 

The jubilee souvenir was dedicated by Rev Dr Chingmak, former Executive Secretary of CBLT. The programme also featured performances from Baptist Thangnyen Higher Secondary School, Tuensang; Onou Ngühlang; The Sümi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu Nito Mount (SBAK Nito Mount); Jubilee Choir; and Legacy 6 Chingmei.  

Highlighting its mission-oriented focus, the CBLT commissioned a new missionary during the event.
