Tuensang, January 18 (MExN): The 28th general session of the Chang Gazetted Officers’ Association (CGOA) was held on January 15 at Waoshu Village.
H. Chuba Chang former minister congratulated the Changs in general for the success of the recently concluded Poanglüm Mini Hornbill Festival and expressed that the Chang people in the recent years have chosen the path of advancement in lifestyle and in conduct.
Antimang DPO, Mokokchung challenged the young officers present to be honest and dedicated in their duties assigned both in association and their official. Nungsanglemba, President, Chang Khulei Setshang (CKS) thanked the Association for their contribution in the recently concluded Poanglüm event and various other activities of the community.
The interaction session was participated by the village councils, students, church members and citizens union. During this session, the achievements and problems faced by each group obstructing their progress educationally, economically and in development activities were discussed with productive feedbacks from the association.
The evening session, was graced by the presence of Lotham Chang Director, Employment Craftsman and Skill Development Nagaland and Chingmak Chang, President, CCSU. Er. Chingmak President, CGOA expressed gratitude and presented mementos to all the officers who retired before this session in 2018.
The message was delivered by L. Ongmang Pastor, Yungkük Baptist Lashong. He spoke about fearing the Lord irrespective of different official duties and to stay strong and truthful and not to worship any earthly riches.
The next morning, CGOA members led by CGOA office bearers climbed up to the top of Mt. Ngakushon which is one of the highest mountain peaks under Chang jurisdiction.
