Performing Arts with Fitness or PAWF Nagaland Club came to the limelight in 2015 when they organized a fitness programme to create public awareness. This was met with huge success! The PAWF Club is now extremely popular for its fitness programmes GX (group exercise) like Zumba Fitness, Dance and Martial Arts.
Currently, GX classes are being held at the Ana-Ki Conference Hall, Khermahal, Dimapur every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The PAWF Club has members as young as 4 years old to many active and energetic moms and dads. Beyond fitness, the PAWF Club also offers services like Creative Choreographies, Mentoring and Events.
The founders behind the PAWF Nagaland Club originally were Talien Pongentsur and Talitemjen. With rising popularity, presently, the team is expanding and now includes a Creative and Production Team headed by Akum Den, and a group of likeminded people who are solely dedicated to bring about changes in the society.
Meanwhile, Talitemjen elaborates the PAWF motto ‘Change your life with us’. “Our tree of Life starts from the Root. The Root is Me. I am constantly changing and therefore I am progressing. Change is Good, it is risky yet it leads to growth. When I change definitely I am inspiring my families and friends and the community starts to grow based on what I am now which is lead by positivity. We are trying to feed the community with positivity and good energy. We get the exact response of what we put out there and that is when we talk about the positivity of Universal Energy. We see our friends changing, our student changing and family changing. This is when we came up with this ‘change your life with us’.”
The PAWF Club is currently working on charity events in hopes of ‘generating something good’. On the 2nd of April, 2016 it is organizing an exciting and fun event for less privileged children and their parents at The Garden (Super Market, Dimapur) called “Zumba Kids”. Soon after this, the PAWF Club also has plans to reach out to some 400 Church youths. Simultaneously, the PSWF Club is also working with Nagaland Manhunt in collaboration with Embolden Group, taking care of their fitness activity and choreographing the show.
On April 7th, 2016 the PAWF Club will be celebrating the World Health Day in collaboration with the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (Referral Hospital) in partnership with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Nagaland.
Talien and Talitemjen envisions working towards a future where the PAWF Club is an established and thriving brand, which will provide opportunities and jobs to the younger generation. These two creative and inspiring artistes also aim to provide employment opportunities to upcoming dancers and mentor the artistic career of the youngsters as well.
“We are working hard, harder than ever. We are trying to build the community we always dreamed up. We have goals and we keep ourselves equipped with positive energy which helps us deliver,” they say.
