LONGLENG, AUGUST 1 (MExN): The Changtongya-Longleng road will remain closed to vehicular traffic from evening to morning, beginning August 1. The closure was necessitated in view of an ongoing road maintenance work in the Changtongya-Dikhu Bridge stretch, notified the Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, through the Information Assistant, IPR, Longleng. “The movement of all kinds of vehicles including Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) along the aforementioned route will remain restricted from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am daily w.e.f 1st August 2023, till further notice,” it informed. It meanwhile advised commuters to take an alternative route— Longleng–Chingtok (IR Camp)-Netnyu- Merangkong.
