Changtongya, August 18 (MExN): The Sub-Divisional Departmental Co-ordination Forum (SDDCF), Changtongya Sub-Division was held on August 16 in the office chamber of SDO (Civil) Changtongya.
A DIPR report stated that the Chairman, Moakumzuk Tzudir, SDO (Civil) Changtongya, who was recently posted in the sub-division, encouraged all the SDDCF members (Head of Officers) to perform their respective duty at their place of posting, to serve the public and also to co-operate with the public.
While reviewing the last meeting minutes, the house also discussed more agendas. In view of reported case of total absence of officers/staffs and non-opening of government office which is detrimental to mandated public service by salaried Government employee, it was decided to carry out random surprise checking of government office functioning and report the matter to government for disciplinary action as per relevant rules.
A decision was also made for maintenance of street light in the town in all light posts especially located at Police Point, which will lighten up the town and give a sense of appeal and deter "unwanted elements" from open movement during night time. The Chairman also enquired about the damaged transformer, for which the SDO (Power) assured the house to look at it at the earliest.
The house requested Forest Ranger to work out plantation of ornamental and flowering trees at Changtongya town to beautify town which will be initiated during monsoon season in 2019. Continuous failure of mobile connectivity by service provider BSNL and Airtel was taken up and decision was taken to inform respective office to augment uninterrupted service at the earliest.
The house also resolved to organise the 3rd Inter Departmental Football Tournament in the month of October.
The Organizing Committee for the 3rd Inter Departmental Football Tournament 2018 was selected with Moakumzuk Tzudir, SDO (Civil) Changtongya as convenor; Meyisusu Jamir, APRO Changtongya as secretary; Puronen, AEO Changtongya, Imkong, SI (2nd OC) Police Station Changtongya and Er Wapang, PWD (R& B) Changtongya as members.
