A fiesta of fashion and music charity was hosted and organised by Meta Noya on Saturday at Loyola Higher Secondary School campus, Kiphire in collaboration with Stargazer and Hornbill TV as media partners. 

Talented artists from the field of fashion, music, and dance took part in the event enthralling the crowd with their talent.

On the occasion, Akhumba, founder of Meta Noya, gave an introductory speech stating that young talents need to be polished, encouraged and uplifted. Stating that it ‘starts with you and I,’ he also highlighted the prime vision and goals of Meta Noya which was recently founded on December 19, 2022.

According to him, the event is aimed at promoting models, designers, artist, handicrafts and jewelries exhibition and so on. “Through this significant event, we want to let it be known to our society that education means all round development which gives equal importance to music, arts and fashion,” he said while requesting all the parents and intellectuals present at the event, to continue supporting them.

Akhumba also stressed on uplifting and bringing changes among people in the fashion industry by providing a better platform for them.

Meanwhile, stating that fashion and music are inseparable, Senti Longchar, District Horticulture Officer, Kiphire encouraged the young people saying that the leap for high ground starts from here (district level); and ‘only when we learn from here we can go beyond the horizon of this industry.’ 

He also said that careers in fashion and music are not easy pursuits as one needs to dedicate their heart and soul into it, to see fruitful results. Fashion and music connects people and nations across the globe, and focusing locally today, will build up to achieving globally tomorrow, he added. 

The event witnessed a designers’ round with designers including Thingpila and Telen Sangtam, as well as Sumiho, Founder (Grassroots Aspirations).

Other highlights of the event were performances from Likhumse (Winner of USSC talent show); Leochum, Frontman of Pin Drop Silence band; Arisela (Runner up USSC talent show), Khumtsase (2nd runner up USSC talent show), and Hotsala (Finalist of StarGazer).

The hosts for the event were Thinglise and Muwali Jingru while the opening act was presented by Daniel, a young and talented musician and guitarist.

Chingkila T Sangtam, Chairman, Meta Noya gave a welcome address and vote of thanks was presented by S Likhumla Sangtam (Advisor, Meta Noya).
