Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN today said to have banned all ‘partying and picnicking’ along Chathe River, Dimapur, after 6 PM. The organization has taken into account “the recent rape and murder of minor girls” along Chathe river, a note from the group’s “secretary union territory-1” Chonbenthung Lotha. The group said the river areas have become a “playground for criminals and senseless people particularly endangering the safety of women’s life.” The decision to impose the ban was taken during the NSCN/GPRN’s ‘regional council meeting’ on June 5, the note stated. Failing to comply would invite action from the group, the note added.
