CHC Pungro conducts oral health camp

Pungro, October 24 (MExN): A medical team from Community Health Centre, Pungro, led by Dental Surgeon, Dr Weri Mero, conducted oral health and acupuncture camp on the sideline of village health nutrition day at Tikenvong village, under Pungro block, Kiphire district on October 23.
A total of 81 patients were examined during the camp. Dr Mero briefed about the overall health benefits of maintaining oral hygiene, while stressing on the ill effects of consuming tobacco products.

Meanwhile, he mentioned important points to practise daily for maintenance of oral health: Stop smoking or chewing tobacco; Decrease use of alcohol (0-1 drinks/day); Eat more fruits and vegetables; See a dentist regularly; Get screened—early detection saves lives.
