
TUENSANG, JULY 5 (MExN): Incessant rain continues to wreak havoc at Chessore town area under Tuensang district, even as the road remains completely cut off from the rest of the State due to landslides in multiple locations.
According to a DIPR report, a house belonging to one Oben Yimkhiung at Keku colony was damaged due to landslide. As a result of a sinking road at NH-202, near K Wongthu village, a commercial truck fell down 300 meters below the road. Fortunately, there were no reports of any casualty, it added.
The DIPR report, meanwhile, informed that the PWD department has begun operations to clear the road from Chessore town towards Shamator via Huker, Kephor and Shiponger villages.
