Tuensang, September 17 (MExN): The Chiechama Village Council has condemned the shooting and grievous injury of a resident of Chendang Saddle under Tuensang district allegedly by a man from Chiechama village on September 16.
In a press release dated September 17, the council condemned in the strongest terms what it described as the “barbaric and inhuman” action of Medochülie Zumvü in shooting and grievously injuring Langshe Lomou, belonging to Chendang Saddle under Tuensang district.
The council described the act as “highly despicable” and said it should be condemned by any sane person in society.
The council appreciated the police for swiftly taking the accused into custody and declared that no village member should bail him out of police custody.
It also appealed to the law-enforcement agencies of the state to take all necessary measures to ensure justice for the victim. The council prayed to Almighty God for the speedy recovery of the victim from the injuries suffered by him.
