Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today launched the ‘Nagaland COVID-19 Information App’ at the State ‘COVID-19 War Room,’ Civil Secretariat, Kohima. 

The app, developed and maintained by the Department of Information Technology & Communication (DITC), Nagaland for the State COVID-19 War Room, is aimed at providing information related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in the State.  

Among others, the app is designed to serve as a ready reckoner on case status, availability of various types of beds, Emergency Contact Numbers at district and state level, hospital help desks, vaccination and testing sites, self-declaration form, FAQs and so on. The app is also directly linked to the Nagaland COVID-19 War Room dashboard. 

Taking to Twitter after the launch, Chief Minister Rio said that the app was developed by the DITC to provide details about hospital bed status as well as contact information all levels of management of COVID-19 in the State.

“I'm sure easy access to info. through this user-friendly app will greatly help the citizens of Nagaland,” he added. 

Advisor, Information Technology & Communication, and Science & Technology, Mmhonlumo Kikon also tweeted after the launch that the initiative aims to deliver all information related to COVID19 which can be used by every citizen of Nagaland.

“It’s a helpline at your phone. Kindly download!,” he added. 

While all efforts have been made to ensure veracity of the information provided herein; availability of the DTF Numbers, Cowin Self Registration and Vaccination Schedule, Testing Sites etc. are subject to change based on the dynamic local situation, the disclaimer on the app informed. 

“This mobile application is designed to provide information to its users in real time and requires an active internet connection to fetch relevant information from the Official Covid-19 Dashboard of the Government of Nagaland,” it added.

The Android and iOS version of the app is available on Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store respectively.
