Dimapur, March 23 (MExN): Dissemination and Consultation workshop on ‘Child Adoption’ organized by Prodigals’ Home, Nagaland Alliance for Child & Women Rights (NACWR) and The Morung Express and supported by State Child Protection Society (SCPS) will be conducted on March 25 at Elim Hall DABA Office Complex, Dimapur. The registration time is 9:30 am and the programme will be held from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm
The welcome address and introduction of participants will be done by Maong Jamir, Asst. Director, Prodigals’ Home, Dimapur followed by keynote address from Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe, Director, SCPS, Kohima.
The topics and the speakers of the day are as follows Child Adoption- Problems and Issues by K. Ela, Director, Prodigals’ Home, Dimapur; Child Adoption - Naga Customary Practices - N.T Kikon, Director Wondang-ki Charitable Foundation, Dimapur; Child Adoption – Indigenous People‘s Perspective- Dr. Asangba Tzüdir, Editor, Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur; Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) Adoption Regulations 2017-Renchumi Imti; SARA, Program Manager, SCPS, Kohima; The role of Regional Passport Office in Inter Country Adoption- M.S Thangpong, Deputy Passport Officer, Regional Passport Office, Dimapur.
This will be followed by Discussion, suggestion, feedbacks and conclusion and way forward.
