Child Rights Week in Wokha

Wokha, November 20 (MExN): District Child Protection Unit, Mission Vatsalya department of Social Welfare Wokha in collaboration with district administration organised a Child Rights Week and consultative meet with the key stakeholder under Wokha district to strengthen the child care and protection mechanism at the DC conference hall on November 19.

Delivering the keynote address, Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Vineet Kumar, IAS highlighted on the certain problems and challenges faces under different circumstance by the children in the current society. Various organization and bodies were encouraged to keep the good work in securing the services about the concerning issues.

District Child Protection Officer, Moasenla Imchen highlighted on details presentation on Mission Vatsalya’s Programmes and Services. Various stakeholders including chairperson from Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and members from Juvenile Justice Board presented a collection of data on different work based. Short presentations were delivered by Superintendent, Foundling Harbour Children’s Home Nzano Kikon, Superintendent, Morning Star Children’s Home, Wokha Benchilo Ezung.

Later on discussion hour was also conducted which was led by Program Officer, DCPU Wokha Lanuchuba.
