Chümoukedima cemetery to re-use plots older than 25 years

Chümoukedima, February 10 (MExN): The Management Committee of the Chümoukedima Common Naga Cemetery has announced the plan to re-use burial plots where no permanent tomb or grave structure has been built for over 25 years. In a notification, Chümoukedima Town Council, Chairman Lhousito Khro stated the unanimous resolution was necessitated “due to increasing rate of mortality coinciding with lack of space.”  The notification added that a newly acquired site for burials is not yet ready, as its master plan will take more time. All concerned parties have been requested to take note and to meet with the committee for any claims or objections within 15 days from the publication of the notice.
