Chümoukedima, July 13 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Gorkha Youth (CGY) celebrated Bhanu Jayanti to commemorate the 206th birth anniversary of Adikavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya at Chümoukedima Town on July 13.
The festival was observed with strict compliance to the safety measures as per government guidelines. Only the CGY leaders along with winners of 6th cultural and literary online competition were present during the programme.
With the aim to revive the cultural heritage of the Gorkha tribe, the youths were encouraged to make use of the traditional gears and ethnic wears.
Results of the 6th cultural and literary online competition 2020 were also declared during the function.
