Chümoukedima traders against tax collection by NPGs

Chümoukedima, July 2 (MExN): The Chümoukedima Town Chamber of Commerce & Trade Association (CTCCTA) has taken note that ‘numerous Naga Political Groups (NPGs) are issuing information slip for collection of tax under Chümoukedima town.’ 

The CTCCTA in a press release stated that ‘it is totally against the resolution adopted by the public of Chümoukedima Town on February 14, 2014 at Weekly Saturday Market.’

“Any business establishments paying tax to any group shall be doing so at his/her own risk. As the resolution clearly stated that those who pay tax then their trade licence shall be cancel and excommunicated from Chümoukedima Town,” it reiterated. 

Further, the association has warned the owners of RO Drinking water (20 litre jar) to maintain proper hygiene. CTCCTA has also reminded the courier service operators or courier service owners “to dispense their services as warning has been issued several times.”
