Kohima, January 13 (MExN): The Chokri Area Wrestling Association (CAWA) will be holding its 31st General Wrestling Meet 2026 at Phusachodu Local Ground on January 14.
Nagaland CAWD & Taxes Advisor, Kudecho Khamo will be the special guest while Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) President Vivolie Kezo will be the guest of honour.
The inaugural function will take place at 8:40 AM. The programme will be led by CAWA Finance Secretary, Uzho Kezo while welcome address will be delivered by Velapa Theluo, VCC Phusachodu.
CAWA President, Hukupa Ciekhan will deliver welcome address. CAWA Technical Secretary, Savizo Thira will administer oath to the participants.
The champion will fetch a cash prize of Rs 1.50 lakh while runner-up will receive Rs 1 lakh. The 3rd & 4th place holders will get Rs 70,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively. The champion in Under 15 Category will pocket Rs 40,000 while 2nd, 3rd and 4th position holders will be awarded with Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 5000 respectively.
