Jalukie, July 5 (MExN): College Of Veterinary Science And Animal Husbandry (CVSc & AH), Jalukie in collaboration with CMO, Peren District conducted one day workshop on ‘Healthy living: choose health over habit-Oil & Sugar’ at college seminar hall on July 5.
Dr I Shakuntala, Dean, of the college welcome the dignitaries and the participants followed by short speech by Dr Chingakham Sima Chanu, SMS, Home Science, KVK, Dimapur on healthy living.
Dr G Viholi Sema, DPO, NCD, Peren discussed Non Communicable Disease and how to prevent them. Dr Imnuksungba, IDSP Officer, CMO, Peren, District discussed in details on Rabies and how it can be prevented. Dr Ragubir Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Public Health discussed on various zoonotic diseases and how we can prevent them through one world one health approach.
The programme, culminating with vote of thanks by Dr Ksh Mahesh Singh, Asst Prof, Department of Animal Genetics & Breeding CVSc & AH, Jalukie.
The programme was attended by faculty members, staff and students of the college.
As part of the event, free screening for diabetes and hypertension was provided by a dedicated medical team from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Peren, Nagaland, enabling participants to assess their current health status and receive personalized health advice.
