Phek, May 28 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Chozuba Sub-Division in Phek district has imposed a ban on the slaughter, import, export and transport of pigs and piglets with immediate effect following an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in parts of the district and the state. The order, issued by ADC Zapuno Khatso, NCS, vide notification No. CZBA/DEV-8/V&AH/2014-15/71 dated May 27, 2026, will remain in force until further orders. The public has been advised to remain vigilant and report any unusual behaviour or suspected death of pigs to the Veterinary Officer, Chozuba, without delay.
