Chozuba sub division gets TrueNat machine

After Pfutsero, Nagaland’s Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Neiba Kronu donated another set of TrueNat machine to Chozuba sub division of Phek district on June 26


The Minister inaugurated the same at a function held this morning at Community Health Centre (CHC) Chozuba in the presence of MLA Dr Chotisuh Sazo, public leaders and medical fraternity.


Kronu said that seeing the requirement of the testing facility, he decided to donate the same for Chozuba sub division as well after Pfutsero Sub Division and hope that it will serve well its purpose.


Urging the people not to be panic, he said “Stay alert and adopt personal hygienic norms.”


He also urged the people to continue to practice social distancing protocol, which he said is one of the effective methods of preventing Corona virus transmission.


Stating that COVID-19 pandemic has hampered the global economy, the Minister stressed on the need to ponder over the revival and strengthening of the economy and also to work towards self-sufficiency.


He informed that the government is now working out a realistic mechanism and market channel for agri and allied activities in the state.


Also speaking on the occasion, Dr Chotisuh Sazo thanked Kronu for donating TrueNat machine, which is long felt need of Chozuba sub division.


He also requested the state government to provide TrueNat machine to Meluri sub division as well.


Dr Sazo assured to donate 100 nos of testing kit to CHC Chozuba.


Also extending gratitude to Task Force led by Chozuba ADC Theodore Yanthan, frontline workers, churches and civil societies for rendering their best services to combat COVID- 19 pandemic, Dr. Sazo also complimented the returnees for behaving well.


Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), Joint Secretary, Vesathu Dozo and Chozuba Range Public Organization (CRPO), President, Kutipra Lohe also spoke at the function and maintained that Neiba Kronu deserve wide appreciation from everyone for donating the much needed TrueNat Machine to Chozuba Sub Division.


Chozuba ADC Theodore Yanthan said that presently there are 84 returnees in four quarantine centres at Chozuba. Two more returnees are expecting this evening.


Chozuba CHC senior medical officer Dr Imchatoshi said that necessary training for handling TrueNat machine have been done and testing will start from June 27.


Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) president Lhuvesayi Lohe requested the public not to stigmatize the returnees. He also requested the returnees to follow quarantine protocols and instructions of the concerned authority. “Actions will be taken if any returnees are found misbehaving and doing against the instructions of the authorities,” he said. In message to all returnees of Phek district, he said “We welcome you home. We love you and care for you. You are our future. During quarantine be patient.”


Further, CYF president made a humble request to all HoD not to grant leave (during this situation) except medical ground


“Let us protect and take care of the frontline workers,” he added.
