Chozuba, July 9 (MExN): The newly elected members of the Chozuba Town Council took their oath of affirmation at a ceremony held at the ADC office, Chozuba under Phek district on Saturday.
Dr Daina Patton, ADC Chozuba & RO, administered the oath of affirmation to the newly elected councilors of the nine wards.
Speaking at the programme, Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo said that as councilors, they are expected to carry out their duties with utmost sincerity and responsibility, stated a press release received here.
The Advisor urged the councilors to work as responsible leaders for the betterment of the people and society stating that there's a huge expectation on them by the public. He also reminded them that leadership is a position not only of privileges but also of significant responsibility, while he pointed out that the Chozuba town has many challenges ahead. In this regard, he encouraged the councilors to work together as a team, along with the help of the administration and the MLA, to uplift the people and society.
Mentioned maybe made here that out of the nine wards, the four elected NDPP candidates, along with three independent candidates, staked their claim in the formation of the Chozuba Town Council (CTC) under the proposed Chairmanship of Sevonyi Keyho and Deputy-chairman of Vezota Rhakho.
