Christ King’s Annual Sports underway

Kohima, April 7 (MExN): The Annual Sports 2017 of Christ King Hr. Sec. School, Kohima village kicked off here on Friday.   Chief guest at the inaugural function, Parliamentary Secretary, State Lotteries, Music Task Force, Khriehu Liezietsu, in his address said that sports is an integral part of human development and talent exhibition through which one develops personality and character.   In the present competitive world, sports and games offer great opportunities and avenues to young people to excel in their respective fields of interests and aptitudes, he added.   Rev. Fr. Peter Salew, the parish priest of Christ King Parish in his welcome address quoted boxing legend, Mohammed Ali and said, “Champions aren’t made in the gym. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them - a dream, a desire, a vision.”   He urged the students to have a dream, a desire, and a vision to become better citizens to create a better world and a better humanity. The sports meet will conclude on April 12.
