This Christmas season, the Luvenis Group of Christ King Church Kohima has decorated KVGOA (Kohima Village Gazetted Officers’ Association) Park by using only recycle items to promote recycling and usage of eco-friendly materials.
Except the lights, all decoration inside the park has been made by using recyclable materials.
It used PVC pipes as lanterns. Snowman was made from used tyres collected from auto workshops.
Thermocol for decorations like snowman, ginger bread man, candies were made from recycled thermocol boxes used for transporting fish.
Used plastic cups were collected, cleaned and utilized to make a snowman.
Empty apple boxes were also used for various decorations. Other materials used included; hay, bamboo, woods and coconut ropes.
Meanwhile, many people have been visiting this KVGOA Park since November 30.
