
Longleng, Dec 23 (MExN): Well wishers including students, women and church leaders today joined the clients (recovering addicts) of Yingli Drop in Center, Tamlu to celebrate pre-Christmas program under the theme ‘What Christmas meant to me”. The program organized by Yingli Mission Society was the first of its kind with drug users/clients after the establishment of Drop in Center (DIC) in Tamlu which is supported by the NSACS.
Pastor Ratna of Nagamese Church, Tamlu was the guest speaker while message through songs were presented by M. Bamei and Moba. The highlights of the event were a presentation under the theme performed by the clients of the DIC followed by their life testimony.
The program was chaired by Ongnyei and the prayer pronounced by Henvong, women leader.
Meanwhile, the Yingli Mission Society, Nagaland has expressed its profound gratitude to Gautam Chinty, Deputy Gen. Manager, NEDFi Guwahati and Hemato Chishi, Asst. Gen. Manager NEDFi, Dimapur for visiting the Drop in Center in Longleng on December 14.
“Their simple, informal visit and brief interaction with the staffs itself was an encouragement for the staffs, clients and well wishers”, stated a release issued by the society. The society further thanked the NEDFi for showing concern towards the most unreached rural areas like Longleng through various developmental programmes and assured their full cooperation with NEDFI in reaching the people of the Longleng district.
