Chandmari Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Kohima today organized annual fete day in aid of Golden Jubilee celebration to be observed next year.
Vice Principal Nzanbeni Tsopoe while speaking about the event said that Fete Day is an annual event of the school which is organized with fervour and with a purpose. "It is rather not a personal benefit but for the benefit of the society," Tsopoe commented.
Unlike other years, when the annual day is organized to rised funds for various goodwill missions like donation to charity, organizing tour etc, the purpose of this year's fete day is different. She said that the funds will be used to during the Golden Jubilee celebration slated to be held next year. The Jubilee is likely to be held after the HSLC and HSSLC exams.
At the same time, the vice principal said, fete day is significant in enabling students to also enjoy and learn through recreational activities.
Different stalls for fun and games like hoopla, bootle flip, chicken hunt, lucky dip, darts, catapult, fishing the bottle, minute to win it, wheel of fortune among others were set up. Sale of items prepared by students under Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW) and free will donation were other features of the day.
