Phek, July 4 (MExN): The first Foundation Day of Chüketshe Society (CKS) Khezhakeno was celebrated on July 2 at the Khezhakeno village council hall with Kevekha Kevin Zehol (NCS), Joint Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Addl. Director, ATI and president Nagaland Civil Service Association as speaker.
Zehol in his speech underlined the need for active participation and support from the village community towards the society's activities, informed a press release. He encouraged the society to finish well and not just be good starters. Further, he congratulated the society for attaining one year and expressed joy and gratitude on the society's various voluntary activities undertaken for the village welfare so far.
Timikha Koza, President, Tenyimi People's Organisation, VCC Khezhakeno and some few other leaders also exhorted the gathering. Timikha expressed his earnest wish for young people coming together to contribute something for the village community, while urging the society to carry forward the activities and plans of the village with unity.
To mark the occasion, meritorious awards were presented to the students who cleared the HSLC exam 2017 from schools within the village vicinity. The society also announced ‘Best Sanitation Colony Award’, which will be given by year end.
Medovelo Koza, President CKS gave the presidential address and Vekhrotso Koza highlighted the various reports of the society.
