Church Advocacy on HIV and AIDS organised by John 3:16 Society in collaboration with District Aids Prevention and Control Unit Mon and Mon Town Baptist Pastors Fellowship, sponsored by Legislator's Forum on AIDS was held at DRDA conference hall, Mon on October 16.
Dr Chingjei Konyak, MS, General Surgeon talked on how to prevent new infection of HIV/AIDS, how to treat the infected patients and how to reduce social discrimination and social stigma. He said that it's better to prevent saying that once the human body is infected with HIV it multiplies with multiplying of the human cells. Therefore, it needs to be talked often as HIV AIDS is incurable once infected.
The programme was chaired by Hamkai Arolim, Director John 3:16 Society, invocation by Yongrichum, President BPFMT and benediction by Nyamjo, woman leader KBCM.
