CII Nagaland Chapter holds meeting

Dimapur, June 4 (MExN): The 16th meeting of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Nagaland State Chapter was held on May 28 at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, wherein the members deliberated on the activities to be taken up for the current year.  

The meeting seriously dwelled on the proposed review of Nagaland Industrial Policy initiated by the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, for which a three-member committee under the chairmanship of LM Jamir has been nominated to coordinate with the Department, a press release from Secretary, CII-Nagaland State Chapter said.  

Further, the CII Nagaland State Chapter resolved to organize a seminar on food safety in association with the Department of Health & Family Welfare and a workshop on Food Processing in association with Department of Horticulture, Govt. of Nagaland and the Ministry of Food Processing, Govt. of India.

 Among other activities, it was proposed that “North East India-ASEAN Entrepreneurship Summit” will be organized in Dimapur in order to encourage the first generation entrepreneurs, particularly in Nagaland. Towards this, a three-member committee headed by Dr Aotoshi has been nominated to co-ordinate with the State Govt and the ministry concerned as well.  

Further, the members unanimously elected Neichute Doulo, MD, Gonpati Stock Ltd as the CII Nagaland State Chapter Chairman for the tenure 2016-2017.
