Kiphire Police to reward information leading to recovery of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances 

Kiphire, July 4 (MExN): Based on information received from a “concerned citizen,” Kiphire Police has seized 1500 gm of suspected ganja from an individual in Kiphire town on July 1. In this connection, a case vide Kiphire PS Case No.20/23 u/s 22(c) NDPS Act has been registered for investigation. 

“The name of the source cannot be disclosed,” Additional Superintendent of Police, PRO, DEF Kiphire stated in an update. However, SP Kiphire, K Swarnambika IPS has placed sincere appreciation to the concerned public for coming forward to cooperate with police to fight against drugs, with the noble notion to keep his society clean.

SP Kiphire has stated that the informant shall be suitably rewarded, while adding “this kind of community support is highly applauded since ‘War against drugs’ is a collective responsibility of the society as a whole.” Kiphire Police also informed that any information leading to recovery of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances shall be suitably rewarded and the source’s details will be kept confidential, the PRO Kiphire stated. Meanwhile, short films on drug addiction were shown to the personnel of DEF Kiphire on July 3 in SP Office Conference Hall. SP Kiphire emphasised that cleaning should begin from one's own hearth and that once police personnel are educated, they can take it forward to the society to create awareness.
