Mokokchung, June 15 (MExN): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Chuchuyimlang block under Mokokchung district organized an inauguration programme of Farm School on Citrus (Mandarin Orange) in Salulamang village on June 13.
It was inaugurated by T. Mayang, AO & BTT Convener, who highlighted the functions of ATMA and concept of farm school.
Resource person Rongsennungsang, Facilitator, Department of Agriculture apprised the farmers of the various local techniques as well as improved practices for pest management and disease management and various other production technologies. He also demonstrated on various propagation methods like air layering, grafting, and T-Budding.
The programme concluded with a fruitful interaction where most of the farmers shared their grievance on the aspect of marketing, their potential interest and needs as well as great ideas for better development of the farm, stated a press release received here.
