Dimapur, June 3 (MExN): The NSS Unit of City Law College (CLC) and the Sunrise Colony Council on June 3 signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at providing law students with practical exposure and real-world learning opportunities.

The agreement was signed by NSS Programme Officer Tongpang Imchen on behalf of the college and Sunrise Colony Council chairman N John Zeliang on behalf of the council. The MoU was witnessed by Sunrise Colony GB Odinungshang and CLC Chairman-cum-Administrator Pucakhu Sema.

According to the parties, the collaboration seeks to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience by enabling students to engage in community-based activities and professional development programmes.

The MoU provides for joint organisation of service-oriented and skill-enhancement activities, including workshops, seminars, conferences and extension lectures. It also aims to facilitate internships, field training and practical exposure opportunities for students.

The two institutions further agreed to collaborate on knowledge transfer, capacity-building initiatives, skill development programmes, joint projects, events and community outreach activities.

In addition, both sides will explore sharing resources and relevant data, wherever feasible, to strengthen research, training and experiential learning opportunities for law students.
