Kohima, August 6 (MExN): 9 Assam Rifles organized a ‘Civil – Assam Rifles’ interaction with Gaon Buras and Village Council Chairmen at Cheisewema Garrison on August 5. Interaction was held between Commandant, 9 Assam Rifles and GBs and Chairmen of nine villages under the sub-division comprising Tseisema, Tsiesema Basa, Zadima, Phekerikrima, Phekerikrima Basa, Tsosonyu, Gwachonlo (New Tsosinyu), Viphama and Pheza. PRO (Defence) Col C Konwer in a press release stated that the interaction focused on present security situation, issues of forceful taxation and ways to further enhance cooperation between security forces and villagers. During interaction, suggestions were brought out to further improve the relationship between both the security forces and general population. Both parties vowed to stand together to work for long lasting peace and prosperity in the region, the release stated.
