It has come to light that the construction of Guest House at Niuland Town, the contract which was awarded to the Highland construction Ltd. has been neglected leading to the failure of completion of the said work within the stipulated time.
It is further learnt that the Highland construction Ltd had entered into an agreement with certain individuals whereby the work was allotted/entertained to those individuals using the banner of Niuland Area Citizen’s Forum.
Now, it is seriously felt that such an agreement or understanding is adversely effecting the development of the said work contract i.e. construction of Guest house at Niuland), the supposed agreement of which was signed without the consent and knowledge of the Niuland Area Citizen’s Forum.
Therefore while expressing dismay over such an unconstitutional act, incompletion of work at stipulated time and neglecting the need of the Citizens of Niuland, the NACF hereby immediately seeks clarification from the Highland Construction Ltd. as to why the work is still left incomplete and with whose consent was the agreement made with NACF.
While misusing the banner of the Niuland Area Citizen’s Forum, should the image of the forum be tarnished. The NACF under no circumstances compromise or condone such acts commuted by person’s whosoever.
In the mean time, the Department concern and the Govt. of Nagaland is sincerely requested to immediately intervene into case for the welfare of the people.
