Our Correspondent Kohima | November 11 Lerie Youth Football Club, Tyrants FC and Addax FC today registered wins on the second day of the ongoing 22nd Classic Cup 2016 here at the Kohima Local Ground. In a closely contested first match of the day, Lerie Youth defeated Crony FC in the sudden death after both teams were locked in a 2-2 draw during the stipulated 60 minutes of play. They were also tied 4-4 in the tie breaker before LYFC prevailed in sudden death. LYFC took an early lead within the four minutes of play through Wanghe, who went on to double the lead in 10th minute as they led 2-0 at half time. Crony FC came back strongly in the second half and scored through Vilhouvoto and Mezizoto in the 39th and 54th minute respectively. Lerie Youth FC will now clash with the formidable Barak FC on November 16. Tyrants FC blanked Keziekie FC by three goals in the second match. The match remained goalless for a large part of the game Tyrants scored three late goals in quick succession. Vitha Sale netted two scoring on either side of Poito Vimeyiezo goal. All the goals came in the last 6 minutes of the game – 54th, 56th and 57th minute. Playing the last match of the day, Addax FC overwhelmed Upper Chandmari Youth Organisation 6-1 with Khriekethozo producing the first hat-trick of the tournament. The flood-gates were opened within three minutes of play through Khriekethozo. He scored two more in 48th and 53rd minute while Tseizo, Kikrusetuo and Neikethozo Yhome added one each in the 29th, 32nd and 43rd minute. The lone consolation for Upper Chandmari came through Thejasezo in the 35th minute. Addax FC will now play with Tyrants FC on November 16.
