Classic Traders, a hardware and kitchen fittings store, officially launched its second branch on October 4. Nagaland Advisor for Department of Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan, inaugurated the store which is located near Axis bank ATM, 4th Mile Diphupar, Chümoukedima.

The store will primarily provide indoor equipments and furniture from reputed brands such as Hafele, SRE, Ozone, Hettich among others.

Proprietor Orenthung Tsanglao shared that the decision to open an extension branch was based on increased demand from customers residing in Chümoukedima. Being a first-generation Naga businessman, he mentioned that that there were several challenges which needed to be surmounted, including building the right network to source products and other logistical difficulties.

However, through hard-work, perseverance and patience, business has been steadily growing since the last few years, the proprietor maintained. Tsanglao’s main branch (Classic Traders) located at Khermahal was opened in the early part of 2021.

“We try our best to bring the best products as we do not buy from third parties but through the main manufacturer at Gujarat,” he said. This ensures obtaining the best rates for each item and the ability to be competitive with other businesses in the market.
Although most of his customers are primarily from Dimapur and Chümoukedima, Tsanglao claimed people from the other districts such as Phek, Kohima and Wokha have also reached out to him.

Moreover, Tsanglao also alluded to the fact that the success rate of his business is indirectly attributed to the booming construction sector in the state.  The store will be staffed by four employees including a branch manager.
