DIMAPUR, AUGUST 6 (MExN): The Angami Baptist Church Council issued a statement today stating that despite the Clean Election Campaign carried out by the Church and a call to probity, “the By-election in Northern Angami Assembly Constituency – II held on 29th July 2017 received mixed response.” “To those willfully designed, planned and distributed money to buy votes, may God deal with you justly. To those who willfully sold their votes, may God deal with you justly,” the ABCC said in a press note from the Executive Director, ABCC, V Atsi Dolie. It however acknowledged that there are also many who have responded willfully to the call of Clean Election and chose to remain clean. “May God bless you richly and increase your tribe. I want to thank all the “just-loving” people, individuals and organizations, who have made effort for a better tomorrow. The Angami Baptist Church Council will continue to campaign for a God-honoring society and will not be deterred nor distracted by determined opposing elements in any way,” it affirmed.
