DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 5 (MExN): The road stretch from Dhobinalla-Signal Angami-Thahekhu, Dimapur which was constructed towards the end of 2015 with the “so called New German Technology has not lived up to its name and the repair and renovation works along the stretch including drain is about to start.”
This was informed in a press statement today issued by KK Yepthomi, Convener of the Joint Action Committee (JAC), Dhobinalla-Signal-Angami-Thahekhu-Rangapahar Road.
The JAC pointed out that the garbage site located at a junction leading to Pranabananda Women’s College at Lhomithi Colony is always stinky causing health hazard to the people. The regularly stinky site will also affect the construction of road and drainage in the area, it added.
Therefore, the JAC appealed to the Dimapur Municipal Council to regularly clean the area in the interest of public health and environment as well as to facilitate smooth construction of road and drainage.
The JAC also appealed to the appropriate authorities to look into the problem of land encroachment along the drain.
