Mokokchung, September 19 (DIPR): A seminar on ‘Clean Milk Production’ was held at MMC conference hall here on September 17, jointly organized by the Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) and the Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, Mokokchung.
President, MMC, Tsukti Longkumer, in his short speech, asked the dairy farmers to feel proud of what one does, saying that it is not the profession but honesty and dedication that matter the most in business. He also urged them to adopt scientific method of farming with the help of experts from the department concerned so that they could meet the demands of the people.
Elaborate explanations on the topic ‘Care and Management of Dairy Animals’ and ‘Clean Milk Production’ were given by D. Mangyang, Farm Manager, State Cattle Weeding Farm, Aliba and Dr. Aoyimsen VAS, Public Health respectively, while Alangla, ARCA, Mokokchung gave a detailed explanation on government schemes/policies for dairy farmers.
The seminar, which ended with demonstration and discussion, was attended by around 50 dairy farmers.
