Phek, August 18 (MExN): Orientation programme on Swachh Survekshan Grameen 2018 (Clean Survey of Villages) was held on August 18 at Phek Town Council hall.
According to a DIPR report, Sanitation & Hygiene Consultant, PHED, Phek, Virhelie Kruneilie said that cleanliness survey all over India is going on for the welfare of humankind and called upon the village leaders to take initiatives in this venture. Good toilet is must for everyone, either in public place or in church area or schools, he stated.
Virhelie further maintained that the children also need to be taught on washing hands with soap after using toilet and urged all to join hands for healthy lifestyle of the community. He also spoke on plastic free zones and appealed to the members present to spread the message in this connection to the villages so that progress takes place in all factors.
Vote of thanks was pronounced by Ngolo, HA PHED, Phek. The function was chaired by Kutulu Vero, IEC Consultant, PHED, Phek. Brief introduction on SSG 2018 was presented by Virhelie Kruneilie. Representative leaders from the various villages attended the function.
