Kohima, May 19 (MExN): The Peren district departmental mass social work will be conducted on May 22 from 7:30 AM onwards. The social work will start from Zero point to DC Residence up to G.A House. After clearing grass on roadside, the respective departments have been asked to clean their respective offices and compounds.
Participation is mandatory for all Government officers and staff at the District Headquarters as well as in all subdivisions, according to Danyi Domeh, District Planning Officer, Peren. The cleanest departmental office will be awarded as decided in the previous DPDB meeting
Apart from Government employees, the NGOs, CSOs and every citizen of Peren district have been encouraged to undertake tree plantation on roadside during monsoon season to strengthen the declaration of Peren district as “Green Peren” by DPDB to preserve flora and fauna.
During the mass social work, strict attendance monitoring will be carried out by DC staff, DPO informed. All the departments have been directed to ensure active participation and cooperation.
