Mokokchung, April 23 (MExN): The Alempang Sanitation Committee carried out a cleanliness drive to clean all dumping areas within Alempang ward on April 22, which also coincided with the commemoration of World Earth Day. A Garbage Dumping Vehicle provided by the MMC under Swatch Bharat Campaign was also launched on the occasion. The drive saw the participation of volunteers from Alempang Youth Association in large numbers. Along with the cleaning of the garbage disposal spots, the Alempang Youth Association members sensitized the people of the ward on proper waste disposal and management. The Alempang Youth Association also conveyed their willingness to lend all possible hand to the Alempang Sanitation committee to keep the ward free from garbage and also resolved to be vigilant in order to make this programme a success.
