The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Central Youth Organization today undertook a social work cum cleanliness drive in Kohima.
Addressing the formal programme of cleanliness drive at Old MLA Hostel Junction, Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire, advisor urban development and municipal affairs told the citizens of Kohima to maintain a clean environment.
He lauded the youth organization of NDPP for coming forward to make a cleaner Kohima by organizing a social work under the theme “Cleanliness, our responsibility.”
Imchatoba Imchen, president NDPP Central Youth Organization informed that 400 volunteers joined the social work.
Through this programme, the NDPP propagated the need to keep the city neat and clean.
“Maintain cleanliness around you and find godliness everywhere,” “Give your city a clean look to maintain the dream book,” “Please make your environment clean for your future generation,” it conveyed.
It also put up some awareness banner and also painted the roadway walls in Kohima.
Earlier, the programme was led by NDPP Central Youth Organization working president Lhouvi Punyu.
