
Mon, March 12 (MExN): Krishi Vigyan Kendra Mon (Aboi) Nagaland organized farmer’s seminar with the theme of ‘climate resilient sustainable agriculture approach’ at KVK campus Aboi under National Innovations Climate Resilient in Agriculture-Technology Demonstration Component (NICRA-TDC) on March 12.
Sr. Scientist & Head, KVK, Mon informed in a press release that the seminar was conducted aiming to enhance the adaptive capacity and skill up gradation of the farming community.
The KVK Asst. Chief Technical Officers (Genetics & Plant Breeding) Dr. M.S. Sachan and Dr. Paihem Michui (Animal Science) presented on various aspects of climate change, impacts of climate change, disaster management, adaptation to climate change, natural resource management for enhancing the adoptive capacity, efficient cultivars and cropping systems, livestock and its strategies for adaptation, resource conservation technologies, nursery raising and kitchen gardening for nutritional security during the seminar.
The programme was chaired by ACTO (Ani. Sci.), while ACTO (GPB) pronounced the vote of thanks. Altogether, 38 farmers and farm women were benefitted from the seminar.
