Close illegal liquor business, ACIF warns sellers, suppliers

Dimapur, January 15 (MExN): The Anti-Corruption and Crime Investigation Front (ACIF) Nagaland State Unit has notified liquor sellers and suppliers to close down their illegal businesses with immediate effect.   A press release from the State Unit of ACIF giving notice of the directive warned that “stern action shall be imposed with fine as well as non-bailable imprisonment” in the event of failure to comply with the same. “Further, ACIF shall not compromise with any kind of corruption and criminal activities irrespective of any government or private sector at any cost,” it added.

  ACIF informed that it had conducted area wise meetings with the illegal liquor sellers and suppliers and during the meetings, instructed the traders to close their businesses, the release informed. ACIF held its first meeting with illegal liquor traders of Purana Bazaar area on January 9 at its office in Purana Bazaar and followed it up with another meeting on January 11 with dealers of Walford and Purana Bazaar area.
